Green Moong Dal – 1 1/2 cups
Toor Dal – 1 1/2 cups
Chana Dal – 1 tbsp
Urad Dal – 1 tbsp
Boiled Rice (Idli Rice) – 1 1/2 cup
Raw Rice – 1 cup
Red Chillies – 10-11
Curry Leaves – 1 Sprig
Asafoetida – 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Soak all the dals and rice for 4 to 5 hours. Drain the water and keep it aside.
In a mixie add the red chillies, curry leaves, asafoetida, and the soaked dals and blend them into a coarse batter. Keep adding water as required. Should not blend it too nicely.
Heat a dosa griddle until hot on medium flame. Ladle half a cup of batter and spread it on the pan. Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of oil. Flip the adai once after couple of minutes. Cook the Adai for about one or two minutes on each side, until golden.
Yummy Dal Dosa (Adai) is ready !!
Note : You can add finely chopped onions or Cabbage or carrot to the batter and it will enhance the taste further.
