In a Kadai heat ghee/oil and shallow fry paneer pieces until golden brown on all sides. Remove paneer from oil, transfer to a bowl with warm water and keep it aside. This will keep the paneer soft.

In the remaining oil, add fennel seeds, poppy seeds, green chillies, cashews and tomatoes and sauté for a few minutes and take it off the heat. Once cool blend the mixture into a fine paste.

In the same kadai add some oil and once hot add cumin seeds, curry leaves and sauté for a couple of minutes. Now add tomatoes and capsicum, turmeric powder, red chilly powder, and coriander powder and sauté for a few minutes till the tomatoes become mushy. Now add the masala paste and mix well.

Now add the fried paneer into the kadai, add salt and sauté for a few minutes.
Garnish with coriander leaves.
