Ingredients:

Paneer – 400 gms cut into cubes

Butter – 2 tbsp

Onion –  2

Tomatoes – 4 – 5

Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tbsp

Fennel Seeds – 1 tbsp

Poppy Seeds – 1 tbsp

Green Chillies – 2-3

Bay Leaf – 1

Turmeric Powder – 1 tsp

Red Chilli Powder – 1 tbsp

Coriander Powder – 1 tbsp

Cashews – 8-10

Milk – 1 cup

Garam Masala – 1 tsp

Ghee/Oil – 3-4 tbsp

Salt to taste

Method:

In a Kadai heat ghee/oil and shallow fry paneer pieces until golden brown on all sides. Remove paneer from oil, transfer to a bowl with warm water and keep it aside. This will keep the paneer soft.

In the remaining oil, add fennel seeds, poppy seeds, cumin seeds, green chillies, onions, ginger garlic paste, cashews and tomatoes and sauté for a few minutes and take it off the heat. Once cool blend the mixture into a fine paste.

In the same kadai add some butter, turmeric powder, red chilly powder, and coriander powder and the onion tomato mixture and sauté  for a few minutes till the mixture has come together well.

Now add the fried paneer into the kadai, add salt and cook for a few minutes.  Add Milk (you can add cream instead), butter and cook for a couple of more minutes to finish it off.

Garnish with coriander leaves.
