Ingredients:

Boiled Rice – 4 cups

Urad Dal- 1 cup

Salt to taste

Method:

Soak the Boiled rice overnight. Soak the Urad dal for 1 hour before grinding.

Now grind the soaked urad dal in a mixie or grinder into a fine paste and keep it aside.

Now grind the soaked boiled rice in a mixie or grinder into a fine paste and mix it with the urad dal paste.  Add just enough water while grinding.

Now add salt and mix well.  Leave the batter to rest for 12 hours to let it ferment.

Now in a cooker pour the idli batter in the Idli plates and steam cook for 10 minutes.

Yummy Idli is ready to taste !!
