Ingredients:

Wheat flour – 250 gms (3 cups)

Aloo – 4

Green chillies – 4-5 finely chopped

Coriander leaves – 1 bunch finely chopped

Ginger – 1 small finely chopped

Red Chilli powder – 1 tsp

Cumin Powder – 1 tsp

Garam Masala powder – 1/2 tsp

Butter/Oil – 3-4 tbsp

Method:

In a pressure cooker boil the potatoes for 3 whistles.  Once cool peel the skin and mash the potatoes.

In a bowl mix the mashed potatoes with green chillies, coriander leaves, ginger. red chilli powder, cumin powder, garam masala and salt.  Mix it well and keep it aside.

In a separate bowl, mix the wheat flour, salt, oil and water and make it into a smooth soft dough.  Cover it and rest it for 15-20 minutes.

Now make equal size balls of the dough and start kneading it like we make regular rotis.

Now make the potato mixture into slightly smaller size balls.

Now keep one potato ball each into the rotis and close it from all the sides and knead it gently.

Now heat the tawa and once hot place the rolled paratha and cook it on both sides applying oil/butter.

Yummy Aloo Paratha is now ready !!

Note: It should be served with Curd/Pickle and Puthina Chutney.
