Potatoes – 4 medium size finely chopped
Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
Urad dal – 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
Red chilli powder – 1 tbsp
Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
Asafoetida – 1 tsp
Curry Leaves – 1 sprig
Oil – 4-5 tbsp
Salt to taste
In a kadai heat oil and once hot add Mustard seeds , Urad dal and curry leaves and saute for a couple of minutes .
Now add the potatoes, Turmeric powder and saute for a few minutes . Now add red chilli powder, coriander powder, asafoetida and salt and mix well .
Turn the heat to a low flame and leave the mixture for 10-12 minutes.till it gets roasted on all sides. .
Yummy urulai Podi Kari is now ready to taste! !
