Ingredients:

Basmati Rice – 3 cups

Onion -1 finely chopped

Carrots – 3 cut into Julienne

Green Capsicum – 1 medium finely chopped

Cabbage – 1 small piece chopped into Julienne

Soya Sauce – 1 tbsp

Red Chilli Sauce – 2 tbsp

Tomato Ketchup – 2 tbsp

Black Pepper powder – 1 1/2 tbsp

Sugar – 1 tbsp

Ginger Garlic Paste – 1  tbsp

Spring Onions – chopped fine for garnish

Oil – 4-5 tbsp

Salt to taste

Method:

First soak the Basmati rice in water and keep it aside.

In a cooker add oil and once hot add onion and ginger garlic paste and saute till the raw smell goes.

Now add all the chopped vegetables  and fry for a few minutes.

Now add Soya sauce, red chilli sauce and tomato ketchup and mix well.

Now add the soaked rice, salt and pepper powder. Mix everything well and fry for 2 minutes.

Now add six cups of water and once the water comes to a boil close the lid and cook for eight minutes. Turn off the heat and put the weight and allow it to rest.

Garnish the rice with fresh chopped spring onions.

Yummy Vegetable Fried Rice is now ready!!
