Cashews – 1 cup

Sugar – 3/4 cup

Ghee – 1/2 cup

Elaichi powder – 1 tsp (optional)


In a mixie add the cashews and blend them into dry powder and keep it aside.

In a kadai add sugar and just enough water to submerge it and let it simmer on a low flame.  Once the sugar syrup reaches a two string consistency, add the cashews powder and mix well. Keep stirring the mixture adding Ghee till the mixture starts to come together.

Grease a separate plate and pour the cashews mixture flattening it evenly. Allow it to cool.

Once cool, grease a sharp knife and cut the mixture into square or diamond shapes. One can garnish with pista or Badam.
