Ingredients:

Soya Chunks – 250 gms

Bay Leaf – 1

Onions – 2 finely chopped

Capsicum – 1 cut into cubes

Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tbsp

Cumin Seeds – 1 tbsp

Fennel Seeds – 1 tbsp

Poppy Seeds – 1 tbsp

Tomato – 1

Green Chillies – 3

Turmeric Powder – 1 tsp

Red Chilli powder – 1 tbsp

Coriander Poweder – 1 tbsp

Garam Masala – 1 tsp

Coconut Milk – 1 cup

Coriander leaves – 1/2 bunch

Ghee/Oil – 4-5 tbsp

Salt to taste

Method:

Steam cook the Soya Chunks for one whistle, allow it cool and set it aside.

In a mixie, grind the fennel seeds, poppy seeds, cumin seeds, tomato, green chillies into a fine paste and keep it aside.

Now in a kadai, heat ghee/oil and once hot, add bay leaf, onions and ginger garlic paste and saute for a couple of minutes.  Now add the curry leaves, capsicum and saute for a few more minutes.

Now add the soya chunks, tumeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and salt and mix well.  Add 2 cups of water and let it simmer for a few minutes.

Now add the coconut milk and cook till the mixture thickens.

Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves.

Yummy Soya Chunks Masala is now ready !!
