Ingredients:

Potatoes – 3 cut into small cubes

Carrots – 2 finely chopped

Cauliflower – 1 cut into small florets

Green Peas – ½ cup

Onions – 3 finely chopped

Tomatoes – 4-5

Cashewnuts – 6 to 8

Fennel Seeds – 1 tbsp

Poppy Seeds – 1 tbsp

Fresh Coconut – 1 cup

Bay Leaf – 1

Green Chillies – 3-4

Red Chilli Powder – 1 tbsp

Turmeric Powder – 1 tsp

Coriander Powder – 1 tbsp

Cloves – 3

Garam Masala Powder – 1 tbsp

Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tbsp

Milk – 1 cup

Ghee/Oil – 4-5 tbsp

Salt to taste

Coriander Leaves – 1 bunch finely chopped

Method:

In a cooker, add water and once hot add all the vegetables and cook for one whistle and set aside.

In a mixie, grind green chillies, cashews, fennel seeds, poppy seeds, onions and tomatoes (add ¾ th of the total) and grind into a fine paste by adding water and set aside.

In a kadai heat oil/ghee and once hot add cumin seeds, the remaining onions, tomatoes and ginger and garlic paste and sauté for a few minutes.

Now add thee ground masala paste, turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder and mix well.  Saute for a a few minutes till the raw smell goes.

Now add the cooked vegetables and salt and mix well.

Now add the milk and allow it to simmer.  Now take it off the heat and garnish with coriander leaves.
