Ingredients:

Rava – 1 cup
Onion – 2 finely chopped
Carrot – 1 finely chopped
Green Peas – ½ cup
Tomato – 2 to 3 finely chopped
Green chillies – 3 slit
Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
Urad dal – 1 tbsp
Curry leaves – 1 sprig
Ginger – 1 inch finely chopped
Ghee/Oil – 4-5 tbsp
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Salt – to taste
Cashews – 4-5 (optional)
Coriander leaves – one bunch finely chopped

Method:

In a pressure cooker, add ghee/oil and once hot add mustard seeds, urad dal, asafetida, ginger, green chillies and curry leaves and sauté for a couple of minutes.

Now add chopped onion and sauté till the onions become translucent.  Now add the tomatoes and sauté till they become mushy.

Now add the carrots and green peas and turmeric powder and mix well.  Now add 3 to 4 cups of water and salt and let it come to a boil.

Now slowly add the rava and mix making sure no lumps are formed.

Add some more ghee and mix continuously till all the water evaporates.

Now add the coriander leaves and mix well.
